COMMUNITY SERVICE

Charity is not only good for your returns, but good for the heart. When it comes to helping out in her community, Susan has quite the diverse portfolio. Whether it's running holiday gift programs for unwed mothers in the Bronx, helping to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis, or running countless events for the Boy and Girl scout troops in Garden City, she's never afraid to lend a helping hand.  Recently she was nominated as a "Woman of Distinction for Nassau County" by Assemblyman Ed Ra.

She has also been honored by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County several times for her Volunteerism and Programs at the County level.

Susan Quigley is a charter member of the Financial Planning Association's (FPA)  Pro bono group that was formed in the aftermath of 9/11.  She has counseled several 9/11 familes and First Responders to help them get their lives back on track after that horrible national event.  She continues to do speaking engagements for the FPA's Pro Bono group for low income families and vocational programs.

She is also currently the Chair of Association Volunteers for the Garden City Girl Scouts, helping to guide girl scouts as they develop and grow into strong, community minded young women.

Susan is currently on the Board for Winthrop Hospital's MS Advisory Board in Mineola, NY and participates in several of the MS Society's long distance bike rides.

To help local Charities, Susan has donated several Full Financial Plans to Silent Auctions held throughout the year.  Some of the recipients of these Plans have been Boy Scouts of America, The MS Society, UUCCN and the Riverside Symphony.  If your charity is interested in a Financial Plan donation, please contact Susan via email at Squigley@americanportfolios.com
