Charity is not only good for your tax returns, but good for the heart. When it comes to helping out in her community, Susan has quite the diverse portfolio. Whether it's running holiday gift programs for unwed mothers in the Bronx, helping to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis, or running countless events for the Boy and Girl scout troops in Garden City, she's never afraid to lend a helping hand. Recently she was given the New York State Senate Commendation Award by Senator Kevin Thomas for her community work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Volunteerism
Financial Planning Association
Susan Quigley is a charter member of the Financial Planning Association's (FPA) Pro bono group that was formed in the aftermath of 9/11. She has counseled several 9/11 familes and First Responders to help them get their lives back on track after that horrible national event. She continues to do speaking engagements for the FPA's Pro Bono group for low income families and vocational programs.
Former Chair of Association Volunteers & MS Advisory Board
Susan has also been the Chair of Association Volunteers for the Garden City Girl Scouts and served on the Board of the former Winthrop Hospital's MS Advisory Board in Mineola, New York.
Charity Work & Donations
To help local charities, Susan has donated several Full Financial Plans to Silent Auctions held throughout the year. Some of the recipients of these Plans have been Boy Scouts of America, The MS Society, UUCCN, Ladies Night Out for Mercy Hospital, and the Riverside Symphony. Family & Community Engagement Special Recognition Award
Squigley Financial has been selected to receive a special recognition award during Family and Community Engagement's (FACE) Appreciation Event. The team played a significant part in guiding students along the path to reaching their goals and furthering their education.

New York State Senate Commendation Award
Susan has been honored with the New York State Senate Commendation Award for helping her neighbors with her knowledge in financial planning. Senator Kevin Thomas presented Susan with the award that recognizes “exceptional individuals who have shown extraordinary dedication and made lasting contributions to the community.”
NYS Honorary Lifetime PTA Award
Susan has received the NYS Honorary Lifetime PTA award by the PTA of Garden City for her ongoing commitment to Scouting and the children of Garden City and other communities as well.
Girl Scouts of Nassau County
Susan has been honored several times by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County for her Volunteerism and Programs.
